Grand Knight Passes the torch

Knights of Columbus Honor Paul Reeb with Commemorative Plaque for His Service as 15th Grand Knight

The Knights of Columbus Council 12989_ proudly presented a commemorative plaque to Brother Paul Reeb in recognition of his dedicated service as the 15th Grand Knight of the Council.

During a recent gathering, Brother Reeb addressed his fellow Knights with heartfelt gratitude:

“Brothers, I want to thank everyone for the support given to me over the last two years as Grand Knight. At times, I questioned my decision to take on the role, but it was the fraternity of you Catholic brothers and the good works we do that always brought me back.”

Throughout his term, Reeb led the Council through both internal and external challenges, always guided by the mission of service to the Church and to the community. Under his leadership, the Council remained committed to charitable outreach and brotherhood.

“My goal as Grand Knight was to involve all the Officers in the decision-making process,” he shared. “I hope I accomplished that. The Officers did a phenomenal job leading and making me look good, and I cannot thank the membership enough for their unwavering support.”

As he passed the gavel to the incoming Grand Knight, Reeb offered some wise advice:

“Stand your ground when you should and compromise when it is appropriate. Don’t be bullied—remember, you answer to this Council and to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.”

The plaque presentation served not only as a token of appreciation but also as a testament to the lasting impact of Paul Reeb’s leadership and dedication to faith, fraternity, and service.
