Recently several members expanded the outdoor cooking area at the community center by adding a clement slab, cover, and gas lines. David Guttierrez built a work bench that will make food prep and clean up much easier. Boy Scouts from troop 365 participated in the Knights’ work day. Steve Chabreck brought his tractor which expedited the moving of dirt. The Scouts and Knights filled the area with top soil and sod while others made a walk way. Other members pressure washed the ceiling while others focused on making a new entrance. The work party concluded with frying fish for all the volunteers. Fish fry’s are an important part of fundraising which allows the Knights to contribute to many charities. Having this additional space will certain be appreciated by the cooks.
