The Alex Semel Knights of Columbus Council treated the St. John of the Cross Altar Servers to another real adventure as they sent them to the Dr. Wagner Swamp Tour and provided for a pizza party that followed.
It was the largest turnout yet for this annual outing. 19 altar servers were joined by Deacon Ricky, Deacon Donald, Deacon Gene, and 26 family members. The excursion required two swamp tour boats to accommodate the 48 people who went into the wild to see a dozen alligators, raccoons, other wildlife, and vegetation.
A great time was had by all despite heavy downpours that were all around the area. Praise be to God, who held back the rain and allowed everyone to return safely to the dock with all extremities following the tour.
