Some years ago, our Council started making donations to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. And when we learned that a few of our Knights were friends of a Slidell family with a baby girl being treated at there we began making our donations on her behalf. She is Baby Felicity and she has fought away her brain and spinal tumors as reported by her Mother below:
“Another St Jude visit in our back pockets!!!! We squeezed in 12 appointments and a MRI in two days and it was worth it! Felicity’s scans came back with great news!!! Her tumors continue to stabilize. We’re now, 6 years with no treatment and no growth. It’s bittersweet and a little scary but we will begin coming to St Jude only once a year and in one year from now, we will enter into the ACT program (after care treatment).”
